The Lyle R. Jager Agency, Inc. was
started in 1952 when Lyle Jager graduated
Magna Cum Laude from St.
Ambrose University and purchased a small agency in Kewanee, Illinois.
Beginning with an annual sales volume of $29,000, Lyle made a commitment to
success, and with planning and foresight, he continued to build the Agency.
In 1972, the annual sales volume was a
respectable $800,000 and Lyle was joined by James H. Grier, a graduate of
Illinois Wesleyan University. Richard Carlock, CPCU, a graduate of Wichita
State University, joined the Agency in 1974. Both James H. Grier and
Richard Carlock became owners with Lyle and continued the growth of the
Agency. Lyle died in 1984 and Richard passed away in 1992. James H. Grier
is the sole owner of the Agency at the present time.
Today the Agency continues Lyle's vision
with over 40 employees and $23,000,000 of annual sales volume. We are an
independent Agency representing multiple companies, a trusted name in the
Insurance Industry since 1952. We are able to shop the Insurance Market for
our customers and provide them the best insurance value for their premium
dollars. When a customer calls us with claims, questions or changes in
coverage, a real person answers the phone and will direct them to someone
who can help them.
